Some forms of exhaustion don’t look like chaos.

They look like being helpful.
They look like staying quiet to avoid a fight.
They look like being flexible, agreeable, easy to be around.
They look like carrying what no one notices, without complaint.

And eventually, they feel like this:
You don’t know what you want anymore.
You feel disconnected from your own opinions.
You feel heavy, but you don’t know why.
You can’t remember the last time you made a decision that was just for you.

This is the burnout no one talks about.
The kind that doesn’t come from too much doing.
It comes from too much pleasing.
Too much adapting.
Too much disappearing a little every day in order to keep the peace.
